TREELANDS DRIVE, YAMBA TRAFFIC CHANGES

Construction on the Treelands Drive roundabout, Yamba has progressed. The next stage of works includes temporary traffic changes to Treelands Drive.

Every effort will be made to minimise impacts where possible.

TRAFFIC CHANGES ON TREELANDS DRIVE

Access to Treelands Drive from Yamba Road will be temporarily closed from Tuesday 6 October. This diversion is temporary and will be in place for about 2 weeks (weather conditions permitting).

Road users will be diverted via Osprey Drive and Shores Drive. Access to Yamba Fair Western Car Park from Yamba Road will be available.

Detour signs will be in place.

WHAT TO EXPECT

  • Changed traffic conditions including traffic diversions, reduced speed limits short-term traffic stoppages.
  • Increased travel times for motorists on Yamba Road, Osprey Drive and surrounding streets
  • Residents near the work zone may experience increased noise, dust and vibration.
  • Construction traffic entering and exiting work areas and site office.

DURING THE CLOSURE 

 Access to Treelands Drive businesses

  • Take Osprey Drive from Yamba Road
  • Turn right onto Treelands Drive

Alternatively:

  • Take Shores Drive from Yamba Road
  • Turn left onto Halyard onto Gumnut
  • Turn left onto Treelands Drive

Access to Park Avenue

  • Take Osprey Drive from Yamba Road
  • Turn right onto Treelands Drive
  • Turn left into Park Avenue from Treelands Drive

What should you do?

  • Plan ahead and allow extra time

Standard work hours: Monday to Friday, 7am to 6pm. Saturday 8am to 1pm. From time to time, work outside of these times may be required for safety reasons or in case of an emergency.

BUS RELOCATION

On Tuesday 6 October, the existing bus stop located on Yamba Road (Yamba Shops) will be moved to two temporary locations.

The bus stops will be moved to either end of the exit/entry points of Osprey Drive (see above map for details).

Passengers can access the bus stop using the pedestrian access provided to the temporary bus stop.

As construction is happening in these areas, for your safety please:

  • use the dedicated pedestrian access
  • follow signage and any directions given by construction workers
  • walk carefully and be aware of your surroundings
