Industry & Engagement Officer
Hi! I work in the Communications, Industry and Engagement team at Clarence Valley Council. I have a bachelor's degree in Tourism Management and Spanish from the University of Lincoln (UK) and more recently I completed a Post Graduate Certificate in Internet Communications from Curtin University.
I started my career in the in the tourism industry for VisitBritain (think Tourism Australia but for the UK). I also worked for Tour Operators and the world's largest airline, Atlanta based, Delta Air Lines. I moved to Australia in 2008 after working in Ireland, the UK and Spain.
I have worked in the Local Government space since 2011 and have held positions at Dubbo Regional Council (I managed the busy Visitor Information Centre there) and Hilltops Council in tourism and events management roles including managing the National Cherry Festival.
I moved to the beautiful Clarence Valley 2018 and I live in Yamba. You'll often see me walking my dog, Daisy, on Pippi beach.
In my spare time I like to read and to cook. I am also a bit of a language geek. I speak Spanish and am currently learning Polish.
